As part of a technical university, the Department of Foreign Languages and Communication assumes the role of ensuring , through lectures and seminars taught by our teaching staff, the humanities complement required for the harmonious education of future engineering specialists. Thus, engineering students may benefit from the following:

  1. compulsory and optional seminars of foreign languages during the 1st and 2nd and the 3th and/or 4th year of study respectively during their Bachelor studies as well as the the first year of Master studies;
  2. optional courses of Culture and Civilization (Romanian, French, English);
  3. optional courses on Foreign Languages Communication Techniques ;
  4. Romanian for foreign students.

Furthermore the Department ensures the education of students in the field of for Applied Modern Languages within the specialization of Translation and Interpretation. Students are trained in non-literary translation and interpretation (scientific and technical field, economics, law, etc.). Thus, at the end of the 3-year Bachelor studies or 2-year Master studies, our students can integrate themselves into their professional life, having the opportunity to choose to work either as freelancers or to be employed by other types of companies from various fields.
